None.
Terrible Internet. Smelly. Too warm without a/c. Expensive. Really the worst experience in Berlin (I go frequently) I will never stay again in that place. After all the bad service I realized the breakfast was not included and it was super expensive 18 euro or something. Really never again.

It is located very closely to Alexanderplatz and Berlin Convention Center where I had business meeting. The meeting organizers recommended the hotel.
I have requests at the reception of Agon-Alexanderplatz a paid access to W-Lan, provided by third party Swisscom, but the W-Lan did not work. However, the W-Lan signal was weak and the connection repeatedly broke of. I called Swisscom customer service phone number five times and there was nobody to answer my call. I discussed the situation with Agon staff twice, and left a written description of the W-Lan failure at the hotel reception desk. Agon stuff took notice of my complaints and did nothing to address the failure. Several days after the incident, the W-Lan still did not work. Shortly before I left for the airport to fly back to the U.S.A., where I live and work I discussed this issue for the 2nd time with Agon representative. I told him that I will not pay the charges for the service because W-Lan did not work. Because of his lack of training or, perhaps because of another equipment failure, the receptionist was unable to print me the hotel bill. Nevertheless I trusted the receptionist honesty and business integrity of Agon-Alexanderplatz, and I signed the Visa payment authorization even though the hotel bill was not presented to me. I was very surprised and disappointed to find out that charges for the W-Lan were added to the hotel bill. This was dishonest and unfair. Agon, selling Swisscom service is responsible for it, and must not unfairly shift the burden on the hotel guests. The failure of the W-Lan must be resolved between Agon and Swisscom. Given the Agon staff’s conduct, I feel that I had been cheated.

Mercure Hotel Berlin Am Alexanderplatzfrom United StatesOlder travellersJuly 20187.0Very good
Rooms in hotel are really big!!! It seems to have been an appartment building in past history, now I doubt if you can find a larger floor space in the area or even Berlin for the reasonable price.
Police and other traffic was loud. Otherwise a little more info about the area and where to get transport would help. For such a good kitchen, facilities to make tea/ coffee etc would be a big improvment. Pleasw stop the rain!!!\ Tg

I liked the location and price.
We used to drink water with ice. Breakfast room did not have any. The waiter's exact words were " Unfortunately we do not have ice here". This is a shoking experience for my wife. You pay 9Euro for breakfast and can not have a cube of ice. You be the judge as this is your hotel.

Mercure Hotel Berlin Am Alexanderplatzfrom United StatesOlder travellersJune 20187.0Very good
The room was spaceous and quiet. Actually we had a giant two room suite. I presume that this was formerly an apartment building.
There is no air conditioning, which can be an issue in Berlin in the summer. The place is charmless, like a roomy American budget motel. Do not expect any amenities. It is about two long blocks from Alexanderplatz, in a neighborhood that is safe but somewhat run down.

The reception staff were great. The room was spacious
The cleaning regime was risible. We waited until after 2pm to check in. The beds were clean, but the bedside cabinets were coated with dust. The outside balconies were dirty and in the little trough un-emptried ashtrays were prevalent. During our entire stay for seven days all that was done was the changing of towels and emptying of one of the litterbins. No surfaces were wiped or cleaned throughout the week. In fact only once was the vacuum cleaner used. They provided soap bottles, but one ran out and since it has just been a missing bottle and a cap put on the side of the sink. It’s truly appalling. We also found that if you are offering an apartment as opposed to a simple hotel room, you should provide the necessities, like plates, cutlery, pans etc. We didn’t expect to have to pay extra for these. If you look up any apartment rental these very basic things will be included with the tariff. When we did buy the E1.50 stuff, it was simply two of this, two of that. There was no way we could have cooked a meal and not taken it straight out of the pan. Serving dishes? Extra spoons to serve with? What about a corkscrew for the wine… No. Something to open a bottle with? No. As you can tell we won’t be staying with this place again, and we hope they feel somewhat ashamed at the level of service provided. Have a look at room 704 and see if it’s actually clean. It wasn’t during the week we were there. Have a look at what other apartments offer as part of their package. The WiFi is bizarre. Yes they had the completely free stuff just off of the reception desks. To get in the room you charge for, by the 24 hours. We’ve never known this kind of system. If we pay and go on to the Internet, fine. But once we disconnect the rest of the time should be available, so rather than 24 hours from first start to end, it should be 24 hours of usage. Again, a reason we won’t ever stay with you again. There is no hotel bar and use of anything has an extra charge.

Good service. large rooms.
when 4 people stay in a suite for 4 people one expects to get more than 2 coffees. The carpet in the hall was wet (from cleaning we hope).

Mercure Hotel Berlin Am Alexanderplatzfrom United StatesFamily with childrenMay 20187.4Very good
Good location for Alexanderplatz (5 mins walk) and tram service (50m), good size room with ample facilities, clean and tidy and a very good free wi-fi service
No aircon so on a warm evening you need the windows open and the noise from trams and traffic is very loud.

The only issue we had was the road in front of the hotel was closed for construction. The room was great, the staff was great, we would stay there again. It is well situated to see many great sites.

The room was big enough and beds comfortable.
The hotel staff was extremely unfriendly and the hotel was not located as I thought it would be. THe pictures on the internet do not give the correct idea on the location and outside appearance. There is a thick stench inside the building.
